Its been a lot of hard work, dedication and persistence. Being an immigrant and coming from an engineering background to a breakthrough in the entertainment field in USA has been quite a journey. I started my career as a Dancer, Instructor, Choreographer and have recently ventured into Acting and do shows all over USA as an Event Anchor and Dance Performer.
From Code to Center Stage: My Journey from Software Engineer to Multifaceted Artist has been an exhilarating journey for me.
Embarking on a career shift from software engineering to the performing arts was akin to taking a leap of faith. I discovered a profound passion for storytelling, self-expression, and connecting with people beyond lines of code.
Each role I have taken on – be it dancing, anchoring, or acting – has contributed to my growth and understanding of the diverse facets of the entertainment industry. Yet, it’s in the realm of acting that I find the most profound challenges and rewards. As the curtains rise, I continue to embrace the complexities of this art form, knowing that the challenges are the stepping stones to artistic mastery.

A strong Self-belief, Confidence and Humility. Maintaining good physical and mental well-being. A healthy mind and body contribute every challenge is an opportunity for growth. Embracing and enjoying the journey, staying adaptable and using setbacks as stepping stones toward achieving my artistic aspirations. Maintaining my individually and not falling prey to unhealthy competition.
You have shared the stage with many Bollywood headliners in USA. Who is your most favourite?
Working with Sonu Sood was an absolute delight. I had the pleasure of anchoring a fundraiser benefiting Education for Kids in India. Not only is Sonu a brilliant actor, but he is also an incredibly humble and compassionate human being. His dedication to the cause and his genuine warmth towards everyone involved truly left a lasting impression on me. It was inspiring to witness firsthand his commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of children. Sonu Sood is not just a talented actor but also a great humanitarian, and I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to work alongside him.
I also had a wonderful experience working with Mika Singh during a concert in Dallas. Mika’s energetic live performances and his grace towards everyone involved made the event truly memorable. His passion for music and his ability to connect with the audience are truly commendable, and I thoroughly enjoyed working with him.
You are an accomplished dancer. Tell us a little about it?
Dance has always been my first love. I started dancing at the young age of four, and it quickly became a passion that shaped my life. Being a self-taught dancer, I immersed myself in various dance forms, participating in numerous competitions and performances.
As I grew older, I began sharing my love for dance by teaching students of all ages, from young children to adults. Teaching not only honed my skills but also deepened my understanding and appreciation for the art form.
Dance has been more than just a hobby or a career path for me; it has been my foundation. It has given me the confidence to step onto any stage, whether it’s for acting, modeling, or anchoring, and the rhythm to move through life with grace and purpose.
What’s your mantra for a work-life balance?
My mantra for work-life balance is to maintain a harmonious blend of work, family, and personal rejuvenation. While travel is a part of my work life, I find true rejuvenation in spending quality time with my friends and family. I prioritize my time effectively, ensuring that I dedicate ample time to my work, personal life, and the activities that bring me joy and relaxation.
I believe in avoiding overcommitting to any one aspect of life, which allows me to maintain a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle.
What is that one thing of which you’re most proud?
One of the things I am incredibly proud of is making my mark as a South Asian artist in U.S. and sharing Indian Arts and Culture with rest of the world. Especially coming from an immigrant background and building my career here in the U.S. It’s been a journey filled with challenges, but also with immense growth and learning.
What truly fills my heart with pride is when my friends and family express how proud they are of me. Their support and encouragement have been invaluable, and knowing that I have made them proud brings me a profound sense of happiness and fulfillment.
Your profession is an extremely visual one. Both your personal and professional lives are constantly under public scrutiny – especially, when we live in the age of social media, online bullying, cancel culture and trolling – how do you deal with this intrusion on privacy that leaves very little margin for errors?
As an artist, I understand that my profession is extremely visual, and both my personal and professional life are under constant public scrutiny, especially with the rise of social media. To maintain a sense of privacy, I am selective about what I share, typically only showcasing my professional achievements.
Living life in the public eye means being open to judgment, both positive and negative. However, I have learned to become immune to it. I focus on doing what is right for me, regardless of outside opinions. I don’t let either praise or criticism affect me deeply; instead, I stay neutral and true to myself.
What is the one thing that has you hopping off your bed each morning and that one thing that fills you with gratitude each night?
Each morning, I find myself excited and grateful for the opportunity to have built a career out of my hobby, something I am truly passionate about. This passion drives me to create something new every day, constantly pushing my boundaries and exploring new horizons.
At night, I am filled with gratitude for the talent I have been blessed with, which allows me to pursue my passion and earn a living from it. I am also immensely grateful for the meaningful and passionate life I lead, as well as for the unwavering support of my friends and family, who are always by my side.
What is the axiom you live by?
The axiom I live by is ‘Dare to dream and believe in yourself.’ This principle reminds me to embrace my aspirations fearlessly and have unwavering faith in my abilities, no matter the challenges I face.
Lastly, you are the epitome of energy and being fit. Share your secret with us?
The secret to being energetic and fit, in my opinion, lies in doing what you love and maintaining a positive mindset. When you are passionate about what you do, you naturally exude energy and enthusiasm.
For me, my positive mindset is everything. It fuels my willpower and drive to keep pushing myself, even when faced with challenges. I believe that maintaining a positive outlook, combined with hard work and confidence in my abilities, allows me to continually push my limits and stay energetic and fit.
