You are highly educated and hold many qualifications. Pl tell us about your academic achievements in the field of music?
Music is in the blood of my family. My Father Dr. Haribhau Khandareji who is PhD in Music and My Mother Mrs. Meera has Masters in Music; are my first “Gurus”. They are guiding me round the journey of my life.
parents gave me full support in attaining my target and to give the best of my life, later to perform on television channels, then on radio channels; after that I have been recognized by many people.
One more important thing I need to point out that, like today earlier youtube was not easily accessible at that time, no any kind of reels or any kind of promotions and also there was a scarcity of audio video editing kits, the only thing available was to do hard work & shall give your 100% as we all are known by our hard work & dedication. For reality shows when I was in India I traveled a lot for competitions and shows.
Later when I moved to the USA, at the beginning I struggled a lot about how I would make a space for myself with Indian music as a career and establish myself in another country which is far away from my home country. Also in between I have to take care of my family and my little daughters it was really challenging for me to concentrate on both the things but it was not finds that much difficult because I am having strong support of my husband, the kick off of my career has begun at Milwaukee, I did my first concert there at “Hindu temple” and then it will be continued at other places pan USA.
You are a live performer. Your live shows are very popular. Tell us about the most memorable show which you have performed on an international platform. I am Most of the shows are very popular amongst the people. They are appreciated by international audiences. My most memorable show in the USA was in Columbia; it was my gazelle concert arranged by Columbia Museum of Art. The specialty of this show was the full American audience and they really enjoyed my Ghazals and I still remember I got “once more” for most of the Ghazals like “aaj jaane ki zid na karo”, “Salona Sa Sajan” etc.
still my each and every morning of everyday will not start without praying to him.
