Ananya Mukherjee is a former business editor, award-winning author, storyteller, and senior corporate communications leader with a rich career spanning journalism, literature, and corporate strategy.
With over 1,000 published articles to her name, Ananya is an acclaimed writer whose journalistic acumen spans politics, lifestyle, and business. Prior to moving to Singapore, she honed her skills in India’s print and television media, becoming a prominent voice in the industry.
Her corporate journey began with a leadership role in Internal Communications at Olam International, followed by senior positions in Global Communications at Cargill. Currently, as Vice President of Strategic Communications & Branding at Golden Agri-Resources, she leads a global team of corporate communications experts.
Her literary impact extends to the stage. Ardh-Satya was adapted into a play and staged at Singapore’s Dastak Hindi Theatre Festival before being showcased at the prestigious Kala Ghoda Arts Festival in Mumbai, India.
Beyond writing, Ananya is a theatre actor, scriptwriter, and trained dancer. Under the stage name Jujuburi, she is a well-known figure in the cultural and literary circles of Singapore and India. Her talents also extend to poetry, with six of her Hindi poems recently published in Nazariya, a prominent Indian literary magazine. In addition, she writes scripts in Bengali for audio plays, with recent works like Madhumashe and Ontoreen staged by leading figures of Kolkata’s entertainment industry. She also acted in Ilish, a popular short film released in 2021.
Ananya is also a celebrated author with two critically acclaimed books — Ardh-Satya: The Half Truth & Other Stories and An Unborn Desire. Both works have earned five-star reviews and widespread recognition from Indian and international media, critics, and readers alike. An Unborn Desire was named one of the “100 Books to Read” by Today magazine.
Ananya’s academic achievements are equally impressive. She is an alumna of Stanford University Graduate Business School, a university topper, and holds a master’s degree in Mass Communication. She is also a Gartner-certified Black Belt Communications Leader.
Most recently, Ananya was recognized as one of the “50 Under 50” inspiring people of Indian origin, cementing her status as a trailblazer in literature, media, and corporate communications.
