Ms. Puja Kumari took up Human Resource with the mission to create value for the most crucial asset of an organization- it’s workforce. She truly believes that people at work need to be taken care of to deliver their best and stay committed and in her journey spanning 15 years in the power sector, Puja has been working to create a positive work culture & learning environment.
She completed her graduation from Hansraj College Delhi University and went on to do her Master’s in Business Management from BIT Mesra’s Noida Campus. Post that she has acquired various certifications in HR & leadership from institutes like Harward, XLRI, Aon Hewitt, IIM Lucknow , IIM Indore and the likes.
In the year 2019, she won the NHRDN Prof. Ram Charan Young HR Icon Award at it’s National Conference held in Chennai proving her mettle as a budding HR professional.
She was briefly associated with the National Housing Bank before joining NTPC Limited a Maharatna PSU in the power sector. With over 15 years of experience in NTPC limited as a human resource professional, she has evolved as a specialist in talent management, employee benefit and talent acquisition. Before joining the corporate talent acquisition team at Noida, she was posted at NTPC’s first Super Critical Thermal Power project at Sipat (Chhattisgarh) where she played a crucial role in dealing with Project Affected Persons and also steering the digitalization & introduction of Shared Services in the HR Function.
According to her, empathy, business awareness, communication coupled with passion for what we do, are the key skills required by an HR professional to deliver the best people initiatives and drive business results.

While she was at school she devoted time to give free classes to the kids of the underprivileged families living in her vicinity. This skill & passion for teaching, which she inherited from her academician father, also helped her manage her finances when her resources were limited during college. She now pursues her passion by associating with an NGO called “ UPAY” as a volunteer teaching the kids in their “footpathshala” over the weekends.
She has a flair for writing for content that she believes should be shared and spoken about and the same is reflected on her blog “mytakeonlifecom.wordpress”. She also likes to support women at workplace, especially career women juggling between motherhood, family and office. With the purpose to add regular positive bites to her circle of women she recently started her LinkedIn group “We-Men@Work”.
Painting is one of her hobbies that helps her unwind while she is also passionate about traveling & exploring cultures. She believes in continuously learning from each experience in life, staying positive and :” keeping the human touch alive” is her professional motto.
