NACHA -North America Chhattisgarh Association / NRI Association Chhattishgarh has prepared Chhatishkosh app, probably the first attempt of the country in which local language, literature, grammar and all types of folk arts are collected digitally by a NRI organization. The Chhatishkosh app will also have the translation facility.
NACHA has taken initiative to promote Chhattisgarhi dialect and culture. The association has designed Chhattiskosh app in which Chhattisgarhi words can be translated into English and English words can be translated into Chhattisgarhi. In the beginning, 25 thousand words will be available for translation. For the selection of words, the association has taken the help of professors and students at Pt. Ravi Shankar Shukla University. The app will have the facility to read the original works of Chhattisgarhi writers. Along with this, tutorial videos of Chhattisgarhi language will also be included in the app.
NACHA President Ganesh Kar said that till date no state’s NRI organization has done this type of experiment. Work on the app started 2 years ago. It was to be released in March but now the team of Nacha will come to Raipur and release it on June 10.

In the first phase of Chhatishkosh app, translation of 25 thousand words can be done. After that the vision of the association is to translate 1 lakh words with the help of the app. For the selection of 25 thousand words, first such English words were selected which are used more. After that, the project was given to translate the students doing MA in Chhattisgarhi in Pt. Ravishankar University. Which the professor used to share with the association after reviewing it. Even now the students are working continuously. In this, Professor, Prof. Shail Sharma, Chairman Literature and Language – Study School, Dr. Kaustubh Mani Dwivedi, and students Sanju Gupta, Prachi Verma, Mohit Kumar Yadu are working. Will start the second phase in 2024-25. In which you will be able to translate the essay of English or Chhattisgarhi into English or Chhattisgarhi simultaneously.
In our app, all the respected litterateurs of our Chhattisgarh like: Padmashree Surendra Dubey ji, Sudhir Sharma ji, Sushil Bhole ji, Arun Kumar Nigam, Savita Pathak, Geeta Tripathi, Shobhamohan Srivastava, Mohan Srivastava, Pardesi Ram Verma, Ramnath Sahu, Deepali Thakur, From Asha Deshmukh, Tulsi Tiwari, Sarla Sharma, Tulsi Tiwari, Amita Dubey, Sumitra Kamadiya, Gitesh Amrohit ji’s poetry, stories to archeology information will also be there.

There will also be features in which information about Chhattisgarhi plays, novels, stories, festivals, folk songs, extinct words will be available.
It will have both videos and content. So that information about the state’s culture can reach maximum number of people in the country and the world. If any writer wants to publish his book, then he can also do it for free and can also share his PDF book. There the writer will have his own folder in it. In which all the literary material related to it will be there.
– Initiative to make Chhattisgarhi globally
Nacha’s President Ganesh Kar told that today every state is promoting its own language. Apps are also coming in regional language. Chhattisgarhi is not even in Google Translate and it has no planning in it. Chhattisgarhi is not online and there is no facility to learn easily, in view of this Nacha has taken initiative so that Chhattisgarhi can also make a global identity.
Nacha’s Executive Vice President / Chhatishkosh Chairperson Minal Mishra said that people from anywhere in the world can use this app to learn Chhattisgarhi and English, also through our app one can learn all about our culture, heritage, art and festivals. The entire funding of this app is being done by our NACHA NRI association.
And Joint Secretary of Nacha / Co-Chair of Chhatishkosh Shashi Sahu said that this will be a very good app for our children. The children who are living in our country and abroad will be able to easily know their language and study through this app.
North America Chhattisgarh Association (NACHA) is Chhattisgarh NRI Association. More than 3000 NRIs from Chhattisgarh living in 19 countries are associated with the association.
Our Chhattishkosh app will be inaugurated in Raipur on 10th June. The user can download the Chhattiskosh app from google play store and IOS from June 10th , 2023
