I have always believed in the evolutionary power of education. Growing up, I saw how a great teacher could ignite a passion for learning and change a student’s approach. This inspired me to pursue a career in education. What motivates me daily is the opportunity to make a positive impact on students’ lives, fostering their growth and helping them reach their full potential. Seeing students succeed and develop into thoughtful, capable individuals of the nation keeps me devoted to my role.
Can you share your most memorable experience as a teacher or administrator, and how it impacted your approach to education?
One of my most memorable experiences was leading an initiative to integrate technology based teaching into our curriculum through Smart TVs. Witnessing students engage with interactive learning tools and the improvement this brought to the classroom was incredibly rewarding. This experience reinforced my belief in the importance of adapting to new educational methods and seeking innovative ways to enhance learning. It has shaped my approach to education by emphasizing the need for ongoing adaptation and embracing technology.
How do you think your academic background and qualifications have prepared you for your roles in education?
My academic background in educational leadership and curriculum development has provided me with a strong foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of education. These qualifications have equipped me with the skills to design effective curricula along with my intellectual staff members and implement strategic plans. Balancing teaching and administrative responsibilities requires meticulous time management and prioritization. I use a combination of scheduling tools and delegation strategies to manage my time effectively. I delegate tasks to capable staff members and set clear priorities to ensure that both administrative duties and instructional responsibilities are addressed. One significant challenge was managing a budget shortfall during COVID pandemic.
