We would like to know about your academic achievements in various streams of education?
I am an interior designer by profession. It involves a lot of things from ideation to being on site for the slightest decision, to selecting materials and finalizing vendors to working numbers keeping the project in a desired bugdet, while achieving the vision that meets my client’s requirement. Every site to me is like a practicum of my biggest academic achievement. I had humbly received a recognition for the first site I ever designed, SUNDER MAZI VASTUU- BEST BUNGLOW 2ND PRIZE IN PUNE FROM LOKMAT AND VASTUVIRAJ 2014, for my design sense and vastu awareness for my own house. It was a nice break through as it gave me a clarity on what I wanted to persue as a full time career. I also received the TIME’S VISIONARY AWARD as a YOUNG ENTREPRENUER & PHILANTHROPIST by TIMES OF INDIA, in 2018. There after I was called at various institutions as a guest speaker. I have been blessed to be recognised by Asian Academy of Arts, and was presented with Dr. Sarojini Naidu International Award for Working Women in 2021. It is always motivating to be a part of such forums as it gave me an opportunity to connect with some of the greatest minds in my field. I also love taking up any opportunity that helps me update my knowlegdge, I recently attended a course on Business Management in Interiors at Chelsea College of Arts,London.
You are young achiever and entrepreneur. Please tell us about your initial professional journey to being the Founder and Joint MD of Silver Edge Utopian. What challenges you see in the present scenario?
Silver Edge Utopian, is a section 8 company. We inaugrated it in 2014, by our former President of India, HON. PRATIBHATAI PATIL; after the hardwork on the framework of this organisation for about an year. The basic challenge for any not for profit organisation is always procurment of funding to run the organisation, let alone for the initiatives. Fortunately our initiatives, do help us to collaborate with visionaries. We have a brilliant set of members, advisors & mentors on board, that help us through most of the challenges. Where we actually face the challenge is when we go to the root level of any initiative, the lack of awareness not only in the unempowered section of the community but also in the empowered ones. To solve this challenge we make sure we do not limit or restric our awareness sessions. The first step to all of our initiatives always start by creating the awareness with required solutions. Educating the masses, on the issue as well as providing simple solution until, we get funding zonewise to tackle the issue.
Please tell us about the vision and mission of your venture Silver Edge Utopian?
The vision for Silver Edge Utopian (SEU) is quiet straigtforward,we are a common friend of the society, public welfare organisations and corporate entities, and wish to be a conduit for social change by helping them connect with each other! So that while the juggernaut of economic development rolls on, we keep walking the extra mile to create more than just work… we aim to create delight… to bring that Silver Edge to dark clouds… to establish Utopia!
There were soo many causes worth taking up, we started with the basic sanitation and hygiene. We started the Nirmal Raksha Abhiyaan- a feminine hygiene in project, World Green Mission – Cultivating a greener future, The Diabefight – fight against Diabetes, Garbhashay Raksha Abhiyaan – fight against Cervical Cancer, Asthika Raksha Abhiyaan – Initiative for Stronger Bones and Anemia Prevention Abhiyaan – fight against Anemia.
The name of your company “Around Walls is very appealing. How would you like to define this name?
The idea of Around Walls Studio is basically designing not only within a limited space but around it. I believe every space has a story, and designing around that story is what makes every space different. What I love about my work is the ability to transform a vision into reality.
What are the special features of “Around Walls” and it’s uniqueness?
Around Walls Studio is still in making but to sum it up we aim bring to you an amalgamtion of current trends and extraordinary findings across interior design, lifestyle, art and architecture. Our vision is to fill the void of information and bring out innovative solutions around design.
As you are working in the leading positions of various companies.How do you manage your personal and professional liabilities?
I have learnt the best time management skills from my mother & my husband. Planning things in advance & following a routine by making lifestyle changes helps a lot to manage my personal and professional life. Having a motivating family surely takes all the pressure off.
As a Founder and Chairperson of Global Trade and Technology Council of India (GTTCI) Maharashtra, What are your future plans to promote bilateral trade in international scenario?
GTTCI Maharashtra chapter has a very bright set of members, who excel in their feilds of expertise. As a team, we aimlook forward to collaborations that contribute to the national and global advancement of the business environment, professional development and technical innovation. We have a clear objectives for the business expansion through policy advocacy, business matchmaking and making the environment conducive for the investors.
Please tell us about your another venture “Sidhhivinayak Consultants” What are the key features of your services?
Siddhivinayak Consultants, works towards a “COMPLETE PROJECT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM” under one roof. The services include Turnkey Project Management, EXIM Consultancy & H.R Consultancy.
How “Studio Revaso” is different from other architectural, interior designer firms?
Studio Revaso is a strong & creative team of Architects, Artists & Interior Designers, we follow our passion in the world of Architecture, Interior Designing, Landscape Designing & Art. Be it Interior Design or Architecture, our vision at Studio REVASO is to create every minute detail which is aesthetically appealing.
You are an icon of young achievers with multiple achievements. What is your message for young entrepreneurs those who are facing different challenges in their entrepreneural journey to achieve their goals?
My only message to young entrepreneurs is that, NOW is the right time to get started, NO IDEA is too small or stupid to capitize, Its going to make sense in the future all you need to do is just keep going…
Who inspired you most in your life and which is your favorite quote?
I was very attached to my grandfather, he inspired me in soo many ways. He was the first Architect of Nashik. Ar. Sudhakar Shiurkar. He was a self made, hardworking, sorted, full of life and very very loving man. He will always be my number one. He made sure, all of us in the family have happy memories to hold on to, he taught us how even when you start from nothing, hardwork and being humble can take you a long way. As for the quotes, I have two favourite quotes that I live by,
First one is by my idol – Ratan Tata Sir : “ I don’t believe in taking right decisions. I take decisions and then make them right.”
And second is by Hillary Clinton : “ Never doubt that you are valuable and powerful and deserving of every chance in the world to pursue your dreams.”
