Two most challenging years of your life in your career?
In 2003, I cracked entrance exam for M.A in German at JNU. Just when I started attending the classes, I got a job offer from a dream organisation. What a difficult year that was! I chose the job.
8 years later, I had to take a call between career and motherhood. It wasn’t easy to walk the path after making my selection.
Two things you learned during your work for a non profit organisation?
Learnt to perform various roles simultaneously.
Not all non-profit organisations are not for profit.
Two decisions of your life you never regret?
Going against the will of my father in continuing my education beyond graduation. Post my graduation, I studied for next 5 years too.
Having helped my people by going extra miles.

No one punishes you if you don’t do any rituals. It’s all about faith and following the path with integrity

Never look at others’ belongings and feel that you lack something in life. You have what you have. Enjoy that.

The woman herself needs to step up. The preconditioning that a woman has to endure and sacrifice to gain love and attention must change.
Raising boys in the right way is important to have a just society.
Two things you want to say to girls who want to make career in today’s hi-tech media?
Be empathetic. In today’s hi-tech media, it is observed that there has been decline and/or complete absence of empathy. Bring it back because we should be sensitive while we penetrate into what’s what and who’s who.

I am thankful for what you do.

Go for long drives all alone.
I counsel those who are in pain. Giving them comfort gives me immense happiness.

Yoga for physical fitness.

The rivers. A river just carves out its own way despite the rocks that obstruct the way. It remains unbothered.

People. They are humble and down to earth.

The true value of ‘valuables’. Money, fame, property and even certain relationships can be completely useless. The most precious things are health and compassion.
