DIVEY FOUNDATION, IN THE MEMORY OF
HER LATE MOTHER BY DR DIVYA TANWAR
A sapling was planted in memory of Shrimathi Shakuntala, the
mother of the founder of Divey Foundation in the campus
Puducherry. Government of Puducherry Tagore Government Arts and Science College hosted the Shrimati Shakuntala Shakthi National Award 2022 in collaboration with the Divey Foundation, New Delhi. The award function began after paying tributes to the portrait of Shri Vivekananda and Shri. Rabindranath Tagore on whose name the college functions.

The awardees along with Principal paid floral tributes at the Corona memorial site set up in the College garden in memory of those died during the pandemic. A sapling was planted in memory of Shrimathi Shakuntala, the mother of the founder of Divey Foundation in the campus. Dr Sashi Kanta Dash delivered the welcomed address and felicitated the awardees. Dr. Divya Tanwar the founder and Chairman of the Divey Foundation addressed the gathering.

The recipients of the award were Dr. Nowhera Shah, who worked for women empowerment and social welfare, Dr. Vidyaa Ramkumar, Chairperson of the Dowry Prohibition Board, Government of Puducherry, Padmashri Thiru Munnusamy for preserving the terracotta craft form, Dr. Chitra Shah, Director of Satya Special School, for her Commitment towards providing holistic education and livelihood for the specially abled children. Mr. Thangamanimaran Sambandam, MD Jeno Maran builders, Pvt limited, Puducherry for the green cover and rain harvesting in Puducherry.

Mr.Lalit Verma founder and curator of Aurodhan Gallery, Puducherry for his contribution in the field of arts, literature and culture and Dr. Sashi Kanta Dash for his Commitment towards environment and social service The program was coordinated by Dr. Velraj, Associate Prof of Commerce and was assisted by the CECA team. All Heads of the departments attended the award ceremony. There was a cultural program by the music club of the college under the guidance of Assistant Prof of English Dr. Moinov.
